The book fair in Bangladesh, known as ‘Amar Ekushey Boi Mela,’ commenced on February 1, 2024. This literary event will continue throughout the entire month.
The fragrance of books and the glory of the Bengali language are united in a great union – Amar Ekushey Granthmela has started again!
Thousands of books gathered in the middle of Dhaka, stories, poems, and history on every page. Every writing, every reader carries the spirit of Ekush in this fair which started in memory of the martyrs.

No Entry fee is required to visit the fair.
Location:
The fair is held at Bangla Academy ground and Suhrawardy Udyan.
Opening hours:
3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on working days.
11:00 am to 9:00 pm on holidays.

Number of Pavilions: 37
Last year around BDT 47 crore books were sold. This year this figure expected to increase.
