The National Revenue Board (NBR) has extended the deadline for tax returns for FY 2024-2025 for both corporate and individual tax return submissions.
Corporate Tax Return:
Great news for businesses!
The National Revenue Board has decided to give companies a bit more breathing room to file their tax returns for the fiscal year 2024-2025. Originally, the deadline was set for 15th February 2025, but it’s now been pushed back to 16th March 2025. This extension, under section 34, sub-section (2) of the Income Tax Act, 2023, is intended to help businesses ensure they meet their tax obligations without the last-minute rush. Take advantage of this extra time to get your financial documents in order and file your returns stress-free.
Individual Tax Return:
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has announced an extension for filing individual income tax returns for the fiscal year 2024-2025. In consultation with the government, the deadline has been extended from January 31, 2025, to February 16, 2025, under section 234 and sub-section (a) of section 10 of the Income Tax Act, 2023. This extension provides taxpayers with additional time to complete their tax filings.
